Friday, April 19, 6 – 9 pm – Mainstage Theater – At FAVORS Party/Party FAVORS, join us to celebrate FAVORS month with stories, social media feeds, and party favors! Hear from the eight community partner organizations throughout Queens that are doing FAVORS. What does doing FAVORS mean in your culture, on your block, in your family, for your state of mind? Tell us about it and be part of the art! For FAVORS Party/Party FAVORS the audience will claim the stage. Open to the public. RSVP: doingFAVORS@gmail.com .

Friday, April 12, 2 – 4 pm – LPAC Mainstage Lobby – The FAVORS Project Booth @ Rough Draft Festival invites you to be part of the art of doing FAVORS in April 2013. Tell us about a favor you’ve done, a favor someone did for you, or a favor you witnessed and we will add you to the digital Map of FAVORS! For the FAVORS project, artist Priscilla Stadler is challenging the people of Queens and beyond to defy the stereotype of the cut-throat, egotistical New Yorker by doing FAVORS for friends, family and strangers during the month of April 2013.

Check out the other great events at LPAC’s Rough Draft Festival.

LPAC is located at LaGuardia Community College, 31-10 Thomson Ave. in Long Island City, Queens.

In April, there will be a FAVORS workshop for the mothers’ group at Immigrant Movement International, a FAVORS community partner.
